Gift Cards Update
Gift cards have been a hugely popular part of Basket, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the support you’ve shown.
As we make the transition to WNTD, we need to take gift cards offline for a period of time while we make some vital updates to how the feature works.
This includes improving the underlying experience and ensuring everything works as it should going forward.We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
What this means for you
- You can still access and use any gift cards you’ve already purchased.
- New gift card purchases are now paused while we make these updates.
- If you have £10 or more in cashback, you need to claim this before 9 May 2026.
Cashback balances
- Cashback accumulation will stop on 9 May 2026.
- Any unclaimed cashback after this date will no longer be available.
If your balance is below £10, you still have the option to make a final purchase before this date to reach the minimum payout threshold.
We understand this may be frustrating, but this reset is necessary to allow us to move forward with these changes.
Important update
As of 9 April 2026, users have been given notice that Basket will be ceasing gift card sales and cashback accrual.
Points accumulation will no longer apply from 9 May 2026.
Any points or cashback balances accrued prior to this date must be claimed or redeemed by 9 May 2026, subject to the existing minimum threshold requirements (e.g. £10 minimum payout).
- After 9 May 2026, any unclaimed points or cashback balances will no longer be available or redeemable.
Basket reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue points, cashback, or reward mechanisms as part of product updates or service changes.
